We believe in complete transparency about how your data is collected, used, and protected.
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Margincore ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information and marketplace data when you use our website at margincore.in and our application at app.margincore.in (together, the "Platform").
By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.
Margincore is an independent software platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official partner of Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Meesho, or any other marketplace referenced on this Platform.
Summary: We collect only what we need to provide our reconciliation service. We never sell your data. You own your data. You can delete it at any time.
When you create an account, we collect:
To provide reconciliation services, you may authorise Margincore to access your seller accounts on supported marketplaces. The specific data we access is described in Section 3. We access this data only with your explicit consent via the respective marketplace's official OAuth / developer authorisation flow.
You may manually upload settlement reports, order exports, payment advice, and fee statements. These files are processed, parsed, and stored to power reconciliation features and generate reports.
We automatically collect information about how you use the Platform:
This data is used solely for improving the Platform, diagnosing technical issues, and detecting abuse.
Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or net-banking credentials. We retain only transaction metadata: plan name, amount, currency, date, and Razorpay transaction ID — for accounting and support purposes.
When you contact us via the contact form, email, or WhatsApp, we retain those communications to provide support and improve our service.
Margincore integrates with Amazon's Selling Partner API (SP-API) using OAuth 2.0. When you authorise this integration, we request access to the following data categories, strictly limited to what is necessary for reconciliation:
| Data Category | Why We Access It | Restricted Data (PII) |
|---|---|---|
| Order reports & order-level details | Match orders against settlements to identify discrepancies | Buyer name/address accessed only as needed; not stored beyond reconciliation processing |
| Settlement reports & financial statements | Core reconciliation — compare settled amounts vs. expected | No PII |
| Fee reports & transaction ledger | Identify overcharged commissions, fulfilment fees, and adjustments | No PII |
| Return & refund records | Reconcile return-related deductions and reimbursements | Minimal buyer info; not retained |
| Inventory & ASIN data | Map orders to products for fee-category verification | No PII |
Amazon Data Use Commitment: Data accessed via Amazon SP-API is used exclusively to provide the reconciliation Service to the authorising seller. This data is never shared with third parties (beyond infrastructure providers as described in Section 6), never used for advertising, benchmarking, competitive intelligence, training machine-learning models for non-Service purposes, or any purpose other than operating the Service for that seller.
Restricted Personal Information (RPI): Where Amazon order data contains buyer personally identifiable information (name, delivery address, phone), we handle it as Restricted Data under Amazon's data protection policy. Such data is accessed only as required to match specific transactions, is not stored in a form that links it to individual buyers, and is not used for any secondary purpose.
Revoking Access: You may revoke Margincore's Amazon SP-API access at any time by navigating to Seller Central → Apps & Services → Manage Your Apps and removing Margincore. Upon revocation, we will immediately stop syncing new data from your account.
Data Deletion After Revocation: Following revocation, your Amazon data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days. You may request immediate deletion by contacting us (see Section 16).
When you connect your Flipkart seller account, we access order data, payment statements, and return records via Flipkart's official Seller API. This data is used exclusively to identify payment discrepancies in your Flipkart settlements. The same data minimisation, access control, and no-sharing principles described above apply equally to Flipkart data.
Where you authorise Margincore to access data from other supported marketplaces (Myntra, Meesho, Snapdeal, Nykaa, etc.), the same principles apply: we access only what is necessary for reconciliation, we do not share or sell this data, and you may revoke access at any time.
We never store your marketplace login credentials (username or password). All marketplace integrations use official OAuth 2.0 flows where you authenticate directly with the marketplace. Access tokens issued by the marketplace are stored in encrypted form in our database and used solely to fetch data on your behalf.
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"):
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
| Purpose | Data Used |
|---|---|
| Provide and operate the reconciliation Service | Account data, marketplace data, uploaded files |
| Identify fee discrepancies and generate reports | Marketplace transaction data, settlement data |
| Process payments and issue GST-compliant invoices | Billing data, GSTIN, payment transaction data |

We will never use your data for: advertising to you based on your business data, selling insights derived from your data, training AI models for third-party purposes, or any purpose not listed in this section.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information or marketplace data to any third party, except in the following limited circumstances:
We engage trusted infrastructure vendors who process data on our behalf under written data processing agreements that prohibit them from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us:
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, court order, or lawful request from a government authority, provided we are legally permitted to notify you of such disclosure in advance.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email and a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before your data is transferred to a different privacy policy.
For any other purpose, we will seek and obtain your explicit consent before sharing your data.
We may share aggregated, statistical, and de-identified information (e.g., "X% of sellers recover discrepancies in category Y") that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. This does not constitute a disclosure of personal data.
We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction:
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required under the DPDP Act, 2023 and applicable Indian regulations, without undue delay.
We retain your data for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@margincore.in. We will action deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
